Biography

An amusing memoir by the comedian Carol Burnett about her life in and out show business. She talks about her early life growing up, her father and being raised by her grandmother who was the reason for the famous ear tug after each episode of The Carol Burnett Show. She reminisces about her early days in Hollywood and her becoming friends with not only her idol Jimmy Stewart, and his wife, but also Cary Grant, Julie Andrews and Lucille Ball. There are anecdotes about her show including a funny story about her Tarzan yell. It’s also a moving story about the loss of her father and the tragic death of her daughter. It’s best listened to on audio because it is narrated by the author.
